Took Roux out for a quick skijor around noon. Trail had been groomed recently, very few spots had some dirt, easy to avoid. No icy spots. Classic tracks looked decent, had been set. I did notice the sun heating up, get out there when you can!

The cross country ski trail at the Highland 9 hole golf course was groomed. The skate deck is in good shape and a new classic track was set. Get out and enjoy spring cross country skiing while you can.

Surprisingly good deck considering the warm temps. Icy in a few spots and two patches where grass is encroaching. Groomer was out maintaining - enjoy while you can!

Highland 9 is holding up well given the amount of use and high temps. Tracks are shallow, washed out or nonexistent, but the base was fast with just enough kick for classic. 8:30am 18 degrees start, near 30 degrees just an hour later. Grass spot to step around at the high point in the middle. Some spots icy and wearing thin, but they're small and few. A couple leaves grabbed my glide, but otherwise the best glide of the year.

Sunny morning at Highland! Lots of folks out. Skate deck was great! Soft on the edges, but the firm. base and lighter topping made for a great ski. I used my good skis, no bare ground yet. There are thin spots, so beware as it softens up. Classic tracks looked well formed, and were getting lots of use.

Wow, really nice tracks, thanks to the groomer. Deep, firm with a consistent thin layer of loose snow for kick, which was great with Rex green. Glide was just a little slow on rex blue liquid, probably mostly due to the cold sugary snow. Only the very highest point has a grass spot to step around. Hardly any leaves and sticks. So so great, wanted to keep skiing!

The snowfall from last night was the perfect amount to provide a fantastic groom at Highland-9 hole golf course. A new classic track was set as well. Enjoy!

These are the best days. Lunch hour 10k classic, trail had just been groomed. Classic tracks were deep and soft in most sections. A couple icy spots, a couple thin to the grass, easy to step around. A couple nice reroutes to avoid problem areas like the cart path. Great work by the groomer given how much drifting and ice underneath. Really great to have it groomed by noon the day after a good snow. Skate deck was quite soft in most of the areas I stepped into. It was around 10 degrees and sunny, up from overnight negative temps, so Rex blue kick was was a bit too warm, so that and the cold dry new soft snow made for good kick and ok glide.

Conditions at Highland were soft and slow. Skate deck had been rolled, and there was plenty of corduroy left at mid-afternoon. On the softest parts of the deck the skis left 1" deep indentations in the snow. There were a few, short icy sections where the wind, either at the top of a hill or under a tree, but all were manageable. Sun made the 10 degree ski feel very pleasant.

The cross country ski trail at The Highland golf course was groomed this morning. The 6" of snow that fell yesterday allowed us to groom a new classic track as well. There are a few icy spots but overall the trail is in great condition. Stay warm and enjoy!
