Like sugar on top of a bowl of peaches, that little bit of snow we got last night made an already good track even better. Especially after the grooming this morning. Conditions excellent to very good. Skate deck was hard and fast. Some of the best skiing this year.

Highland 9 groomed up well this morning. There is a solid skate deck and classic track, with a few thin areas. Have fun!

Classic tracks were good when I started and then the groomer passed through and did them again (thank you sir). A little soft but quite good overall. Skate path was only partially groomed while I was there but hopefully was finished later on.

After the grooming this morning, the trail is getting a lot of use. The skate deck is hard which is good for skaters. The classic track is a bit shallow but very good overall. A few pesky leaves have blown into the tracks.

The nine hole groomed up OK after several passes. Lots of wind drifts That had to be knocked down. But looks perfect now. Classic is superb. And the skate deck is fantastic. Enjoy it.

Somewhat disappointed that they hadn't been groomed in anticipation of the first nice day since the cold, at least as of 10 AM. The "hand forged" classic track was fair, but pretty hopeless for skating with all of the wind blown crusty snow over the deck. Hopefully they will groom soon.

Ungroomed yesterday, ungroomed today at 12:30pm. Skied-in trails (classic) made for an above zero ski, made better by all the folks who skied the path before me.

As of late this afternoon, not groomed. People have forged a pretty good classic track, but anyone hoping to skate was out of luck.

Only skier-made tracks that vaguely follow the normal trail. Lots of criss cross trails. Difficult to ski in spots, but doable. Skating deck present in places but I wouldn't want to try going all the way around. "Oh groomer where art thou?" Plenty of snow and when he does go around, it should be great.

Due to the extreme temperatures and the holiday weekend the cross country ski trail will not be groomed until Monday afternoon. The following reasons were taken into consideration. Blizzard/winter weather advisory. Wind chills below threshold for any outdoor rec activities. Anything that is done will be blown over. Other park districts are also waiting for the storms to pass before any additional grooming. Enjoy your holiday and stay warm.
