Skied Thursday night. It was a little slow because the fresh snow this week hadn't been groomed. Also noticed some lights were out as you got toward Ox Lake. Still a lovely ski!

The Balsam Branch trails were immaculate. They got snow, not rain, and had been freshly groomed. The trails were in the best condition they have been in years.

Groomed this morning after packing and rolling yesterday. Trails look awesome, however, could be a little soft with all the snow we received. Get out and enjoy. I know I will.

Afternoon

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Well-worn tracks and groomed skate trails, but still in good shape. Some softer edges made polling difficult while going uphill. All-in-all a wonderful ski in Western WI.

2:30 pm Freshly groomed! Trails have been cleaned of all debris, rolled and tracked. Firm skate deck. Classic tracks are soft, but we were the first skiers to be on them after the groomer, so they just need to be skied on a bit more. Yesterday we saw some fresh wolf tracks (and vomitus) on the Meadow Loop snowshoe trail.
