New Reports Report Requests

Notes

A great mix of beginner and expert ski trails. With the inclusion of the Jerry Jolly Trails there is about 25 km groomed for skating and classic. There is also an additional 15 km of classic only trails. With views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, this is a very scenic area to ski. There is a nice lodge which sells snacks and food as well as a ski patrol and small downhill area.

Trails are in fantastic shape, firm underneath with just enough surface softness to keep control without slowing you down. Minimal trail debris (for now)!

Perfect fresh snow conditions for both skate and classic. Grooming was excellent for both. It doesn't get any better than this.

Conditions are awesome today! I skied my 45 km loop of trails today and the grooming gods were great. Started out skiing freshly groomed tracks, with part of Deer Path and a section of Northern Lights skied in tracks. By the third loop up that section everything was freshly groomed and tracked. The tracks have great grip and great glide. What a dreamy ski! 45 km felt like 25 km. Thanks again volunteer groomers, you rock! Ski on.

Sunday night all the classic only trails tracks were reset, Monday mid-day all the skate/classic trails were groomed and new tracks were set. Conditions are excellent with a 6-12” firm base. Temperatures are in the mid twenties so the trails should be fast.
