I classic skied Base-Tornado Alley-Survivor-XC Express-Nekoosa-Wolf Tracks-Nepco's Cruise for a total of 22.5 kilometers. I would rate overall conditions good at best. There was a lot of debris in the tracks which would snag my skin skis. There was also an icy crust on the downhills which made control a little sketchy. It was still another beautiful day of skiing. I used my no-wax Atomic Redster skis.

Groomers got out before sunrise during brief snow of 0.5 inches. Skate lanes touched up and combed on interior blue and green trails. Classic tracks left alone. They're firm and in good shape. Good skins or scales day. Exterior trails and Black trails untouched, still very skiable, but watch for warming conditions and possible icy scraped downhills.

Amazing day at MWP, skied Wolf Tracks which was still in great shape and got first run on Lake Marie right after it was groomed which was incredible. Nice and fast on both trails, firm deck and no debris, though the interior trails did have a few pesky obstacles but nothing major. Big thanks to the grooming team, they did such a great job this weekend!

Once again, a short one and the Wilderness Trail is my go to. Single track, well done with a just a bit of tree snowfall "crunch" to add texture. Chickened out with skins at 34F, but lots of wax options would have worked, including my wife's Blue/Purple Oslo that was just a little to the slick side making her ripped and stronger in the triceps. All good! Also note, the skate deck on our return on Nepcos Cruise was not freshly groomed, but the skaters I saw seemed happy.

There was about 1/4" of snow on the boiler plate below it, which made everything very skiable. Nepcos Cruze was softer than some of the other trails. The tracks were deep and rock solid. The little bit of snow in them made them very skiable. Squirrels Tail was groomed but the other expert trails were not groomed.

The Cedar Creek Wilderness Trail did not disappoint. In fact, with tilled track set it may have been the best of the season. Organic debris faded and disappeared into the tilled surface, old transformed snow whipped into shapely outlined track, hard wax kicked well, the sun came out! What more can you ask for?

Our first time at the famed MWP. Most of the trails were groomed either the evening prior or this morning. All the single-track wilderness trails had been groomed and we delighted in skiing both the Big Pine and Cedar Creek trails. We also made it out to the Yukon Trail, which we found to be a bit icier than the trails closer to the chalet. It had been a bit warmer and wetter over the past week but a bit of ice is apparently no match for the groomers there. Happy trails.

Cookie Loop and some other trails were groomed. Skiing only on the recently groomed trails, other trails were very icy and closed. Overall pretty good, the groomers were out working on more trails.

A short ski on an abbreviated Cookie Loop, 5k of rolling bliss. The 1-3" predicted came down as a 1" of wet heavy developing into a crusty glaze over old track, enhanced by an accumulation of organic matter making my skin skis a blessing as I imagined klister combinations and the resulting track pickup, that would end with a fine ski base of modern art. Luckily the PistenBully created a tilled magic carpet track with an occasional stick here and there making for a sweet ski as the old adage of "follow the groomer" once again proved true.

Skied several freshly groomed trails. Great condition on Wolf Tracks, Nose Dive and Silver Strider. Good conditions on River Run, few uneven areas from groomer in wet snow.
