I skied with my group of friends and found the trails perfect. Great glide and control and the woods were very pretty. I do have quite a few midweek rustic trailside cabins open for the winter and the new dog friendly cabin Spanky's is open some weekends too, see you on the trails.

Touch up grooming today, the warm 25-28 temps made for great glide and control. Angela skied this morning with her group of women friends and they reported skiing as super. Pictures are from our Ohio friends enjoying the classic only trails.

We had a groom team of five out this morning, grooming the entire trail system after one inch of new snow. The trails are looking mint! Angela and I had a groomer appreciation luncheon at the Hill Top House for twelve of the groomers, including a few retirees, like the famous "Chicken Plucker," celebrating his 83rd birthday. Grooming plans: We plan to do some touch-up grooming in the morning and leave those picture-perfect tracks alone. A big thank you to the groomers!

Once again I had a great ski at ABR. Classic skied tamarack two, Wolf tracks, Blueberry and most of Haughten Highlands. A very light snow fell last night that was being skied in by skiers on the tracks that were not groomed. Did not hamper the glide. The beauty of Wolf Tracks was unbelievable!

Groomers were out again this morning regrooming most of the 92 km after 1 inch of snow. Trails are skiing well and the snow flocked trees and river are picture perfect. I measured the base at 10 inches, snow in the woods is up to your inseam. Lots of smiling faces today. Grooming plans: Groomers will be back out in the early morning.

Trails groomed up well this morning. Mom rode with me...fun to reminisce the 40 years of skiing with mom as we groomed through lots of memories. We groomed 76 km this morning back out in the morning. I did a base check this morning, 10 - 12 inches.

Snow Cross widened, firmed up pole plants and retracked all of the single tracks north. Crasher and I tandem groomed about 35 km of combi trails including the ABR portion of SISU. We pushed the edges so today so pole plants might have been soft. Trails are looking and skiing fantastic. Grooming plans: Tomorrow we will move the track back in for firm pole plants. Groomers back out in the morning.

We groomed up all 92 km this morning, including all connectors, by passes etc. The trails are looking and skiing well.
Grooming plans: No new snow forecast for tonight so we plan on grooming the first 20 km of the SISU course with both Pisten Bullies to check how we are looking for next Saturday Jan 10th SISU Ski Fest. The majority of the combi trails will be used for the SISU Ski Fest. We will have about 50 km of trails open from 9-noon for day skiers, the majority of the classic only trails will be available all day as will the 5 k dog trails combi trails, Deer Trail, Historic Trail. The entire trail system will be open at noon for all 92 km. My suggestion is come to watch the racers on the course, volunteer at an aid station or road crossing and then ski all afternoon... and into town.
