Trails were freshly groomed yesterday and I was the second one around the 13K loop. At times the skate deck was a little soft, but overall conditions are great. This is a rolling beautiful trail and just a pleasure to ski.

Conditions just keep getting better! Groomed in the new snow we had from the weekend and the tracks and deck are looking very good. Everything should set up nice tonight! Hoping to get out and groom later in the week as well, if we can get a window of cooler temps.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All of the loops at Mukwonago were groomed on Wednesday afternoon. We received 4 inches of new snow this week. Most of the debris is covered up, and conditions are excellent. There is still a little bit of deer activity on the trail. The trail is in very good shape right now. With the snow in the forecast, our grooming plans are to get out there first thing Tuesday morning to roll and groom.

Skating deck and track was ok on the 4k loop and supposedly out to the 7k turnoff, there was one set of tracks embedded in the skate deck that could be a bit tricky if you get caught in it. There was a lot of forest litter (dirt and leaves) on the full extent of the trail and in the tracks. The skate deck was firm/hard packed, not icy, only punched through on an occasional pole plant. Overall the experience was pretty good, but not great.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the little bit of snow that we got over the weekend and worked on the deck and set new tracks around entire trail. There was quite a bit of material that had fallen after the winds we had on Sunday. Removed all the big stuff, and the small stuff was worked into the trail. The trail is in very good shape right now. Come out and enjoy the "flow" of this beautiful trail system.

The skating ranges from excellent to a bit soft in the middle and on the edges. There are some ski ruts. There are sections with a lot of deer prints and the last 1K has boot prints from walkers. The downhills have plenty of snow to snowplow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Happy New Years skiers! I groomed in the fresh 2 inches of snow at Mukwonago today. It was pretty soft, and skiers were using the trail just after I finished grooming, so I expect the skate lane and classic tracks to show some us after it freezes tonight. There is a lot of deer activity on the trail, so expect to see some tracks and minor holes where they've been digging for acorns. I filled in all of the holes from the tracks and the rough areas where the deer were digging today, but I'm sure they'll be at it again.

I called the USFS at 9:45 a.m. today to ask about grooming. They said someone was out grooming, and they would post an update later today.

My favorite trail but in desperate need of some grooming. There were deep icy ruts in the skate deck making the trail dangerous especially on the downhill sections. The classic tracks looked good. Will ski it again as soon as it gets groomed.

Has not been groomed for several days and ruts exist from soft conditions before refreezing. Don't recommend until groomed. Icy conditions exist.
