Two inches of new snow Friday. Skate deck groomed Saturday morning after the temperature drop. Classic tracks not reset after the new snow. Smooth and fast. Great skating.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The skate lanes on Maples, Birches, Biathlon loop and lighted loops were very well groomed, level, well compacted and generally free of debris. No classic tracks were visible. The combination of icy character of the snow plus excellent grooming yielded a very fast track. Classic tracks were not present. An excellent day at the camp.

Grooming done on the ski trails early this morning. This resulted in a very fast skate deck. Adjacent classic tracks were fair and not formally groomed. There is minimal debris which allows use of good skis.

Skated the lit segment of the trail. Other than up by the pay kiosk still a good fast base. Heard from other skiers that the classic tracks were pretty icy on the descents. Exercise caution on the hills.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Grooming was done on Birches and Biathlon loop as well as proximal lighted loop. No grooming of skate deck on Maples or Per's Loop. Coverage is 100%. Adjacent classic tracks were groomed by the skiers themselves. Good skis are acceptable and debris is negligible. The groomed portions were very good.

Skated all the lighted trails this evening, and was as good as it's going to get. Great grooming underneath a nice top layer of fresh snow made for fast conditions and solid pole plants. Just three other folks on the trails in these very comfortable conditions. A blissful ski. You can definitely use your good skis right now on these trails, as I didn't see any debris- just chose B because of keep darkness. Keep up the great work, county groomers!

Skate deck is still in good condition. Use caution on Per's loop because it has moderate debris. The tracks were shallow but reportedly fair to good. Grooming was done on the skate deck this morning.

The groomers incorporated yesterday's sparse snow into a very fast skate deck. Kudos. There is a variable amount of tree debris so good skis may be used with caution. Adjacent classic tracks are shallow but usable. A good day at the Camp.

With the dusting of snow it appeared the skate deck was groomed and refreshed yesterday afternoon. Very nice for a newbie to skate style. Make a note, there is a fat tire race out on Saturday night. Not sure if that closes the skate loops but it could be very busy out there.

Skate deck was all ice. Not considered safe. Ski trip aborted today. Pictures do not capture the ice very well.
