Skated 6-19k (to gold loop cutoff). Deck was flat and firm, recently groomed with good pole plants. Diagonal tracks appeared well-formed and clean. Abundant and fast snow. Groomers produced excellent conditions.

Complete system groomed today. Conditions are very good. I talked to skiers that skied classical and skate. Said firm and fast, didn’t know how conditions could get better.

Skied the Blue trail from the golf course out about 13K. The trail had just been groomed and I had it pretty much all to myself. Best ski of the season as the trails were in primo condition. Thanks to those who worked so hard to make this happen!

We were first on the tracks after the new snow. Beautiful ski! Soft, silent, and plenty of snow. We skied from old 32 to golf course on blue trail, then up to cut off at 12.5k and back. Great day on the trails!

Two inches of light fluffy snow over a crisp and firm base made for a great skate ski. Skied from the Old 32 parking lot to the north end, beautiful day for a fun ski!

I skated 6-19k segments. About one-half inch new snow on top of recently groomed skate deck. Level deck, good pole plants. Minor wind-blown debris. Diagonal tracks looked good without much glazing. Ungroomed gold loop after 19k short-cut. Very good conditions overall.

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We were greeted with a white carpet with one inch of new snow covered by a nice glaze from the drizzle and the cool overnight temps. Skate skied from Sullivan Springs Rd to north end. Classic tracks looked good and the leaves that had been there were now covered with new snow. A magical ski on a beautiful sunny morning!

Classic tracks were faster than yesterday but lots of leaves from high winds in the tracks. I chose to do most of the downhills on the skate deck. This was only a little slower than staying in the tracks and avoided unwanted sudden ski slowing. Thanks again to groomers.

Beautiful Bluebird day at Lakewood. Brand new tracks made this morning. Some of the tracks were soft and/or shallow so if you are a clydesdale on 210cm skis you might not hold the tighter downhill curves! No worries, though, as stepping out into the skate lane is easily done. Skaters looked like it was a great day too -- not lightening fast but looked like they had good push and decent glide.
