Nordic heaven at Greenbush this morning. I skied the purple trail. There is a good base for skating in almost all areas. One little dirt spot under some pines and a few small icy areas. A few sticks and leaves. The groomers have done an excellent job; there is a pretty solid base for fresh snow. The trees are beautifully flocked with snow. No classic track yet. What a great start to the season.

2020 just got better. The heavy wet snow from yesterday firmed up overnight and today with temps well below freezing. Jeff Welsch put in a herculean effort this morning with the gator and chainsaw. He rolled all of the trails including the Black classic loop. The low spots are still wet but should freeze now after being rolled. Folks continue to walk the trails and drive their vehicles on the brown loop but there is good coverage with looks like 6-8". Grooming plans: I plan to groom tomorrow morning with the Ginzu now that Jeff has everything rolled. I don't think I'll be able to set track yet. How can you help? Fortunately nearly all of the leaves are down but there's still a lot of branches cluttering the trails so as you're skiing please help out by getting as many sticks and branches off the trails as you can. That helps grooming efforts tremendously. Also please help in educating the ski trail hikers but be diplomatic especially to the ones carrying guns.
