Much better skiing than expected, I thought it would be pretty soft but the tracks were firm and deep, the deck firm as well. Some blowing over on top of the West hill and across the soccer field. I did get snow build up on my skis whenever I got of groomed snow. Minimal leaf litter on both sides.

Conditions are the best they've been in years. Deep, full coverage, the trails have been groomed daily this week providing a perfect skate deck and deep, firm classical tracks which have been reset removing the leaf litter that was problematic Monday and Tuesday.

Hit the trail today around 12:30 pm. It was still snowing lightly. The trails were soft and fluffy and there was enough of a track to follow. Groomers had not been out yet, but it didn't matter. It was really beautiful out and the fresh snow was so soft and fluffy I felt like I was skiing in a winter wonderland. Conditions will be even better once tracks are laid.

Trails are in the best condition in years, full coverage. The cold has given us a very firm track and deck. There is still plenty of loose snow for edging on skates making this the best option. Tracks are very firm and deep. A little slick, I had problems with my wax skis, 5 miles yesterday felt like 15. Today on waxless I had less grip but much better gliding. Grooming is perfect, on the first downhill on the West the tracks come slightly to the right leading to the middle of the corner before ending. That's a groomer who's a skier!

Joanie and I classic skied from 8-10 am this morning on the freshly groomed west side trails (thanks for the early morning grooming!). The trails and tracks set up well and created excellent conditions for striding, and the snow covered trees created a beautiful scene.

Conditions are the best in years. Absolutely fabulous snow cover, with wide flat lanes and deep tracks. Kudos to the groomer who put thing to shape this morning with the pisten bully. Bring your best skis!

Skied both East and West segments. A very soft skate deck made for a good workout. Thanks to all groomers working hard on it!

Skied both the East and West sides, all trails in excellent condition, firm and deep classical track and near perfect skating deck. For some reason the man made hill hasn't been groomed since the snowfall and the entry to the loop is a little challenging. The snow is cold making it a little slow, a small price to pay and a relief from the iced conditions prior to the snow. A full moon adds to the magic.

Today I felt like the kids in the Carol Burnett and Albert Finney movie version of "Annie." Seeing all that fresh snow this morning was like Ms. Hannigan surprising the orphans with the news that they would not have to eat hot mush that day. What elation! Actually skiing on it, however, was the moment Ms. Hannigan told them they would eat cold mush instead. The snow was definitely cold mush and slow and laborious. It's a hard knock life. Still, my parents are still alive, so all things considered I guess it was a pretty good day. Groomers have their work cut out for them!

On the West side today the trail had been groomed. Once beyond the first trail intersection there was a remarkably good classical track. The second and last downhills were not groomed and getting narrower, the second hill rather choppy at the bottom. The tracks were a little slick, I could see ice underneath the thin snow and there are leaves and twigs present. The skate deck was as good as it's been in a while, firm deck with some loose snow and very fast. Hopefully we'll get more snow as even though the skiing was good it's getting very thin.
