Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the West side today. Groomed today but only corduroy set, classical tracks untouched. Very hard base remains, many of my pole plants just bounced back. When I switched to skating I had no issues. The classical track is slick, my waxless skis weren't effective onl any inclines. The second and last hills were not groomed and there is icing in the turns of both. Some twigs and leaves but not excessive, might be an issue for waxed skis. Skating is a much better option at this point.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated everything. Pretty even base on the west side after grooming, but still pretty icy in spots making it hard to catch an edge. The east side wasn't groomed in the last 24 hours, but it's been packed down by other skiers making it pretty firm and fast. The track looked pretty shallow and washed out in some places after lots of use this weekend.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated everything this afternoon into this evening. West trails were hard and icy, slippery in places. East trails were soft, powdery, and relatively slow with the new snow. Looks like the recent storm added more base than it took away, which is a relief. The beginner brigade was out in full force. It's great to see so many people out enjoying skiing! More experienced skiers may want to consider skating, focusing on the east side trails (which are less busy), skiing in the morning before rentals open, or skiing around sunset when people start to clear out.

Morning
Secondhand Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed ]
Trails are currently closed to preserve the base that is out there. Please, I highly recommended adhering to that. The manmade snow loop is open however so ski freely there. Thanks for your patience get your snow dance on!

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied East and West which had not been groomed. West is sloppier than the East which was choppy, snow was beginning to freeze making it even rougher. Tracks on the man made area were in good shape, the West were shallow and soft. I'd use B skis on the West. Better than not skiing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skated the man made loops this afternoon and they were in very good condition, the snow held up well to the warm conditions. No icing, firm and fast. The new area bridging East and West is a little rougher than the area but still perfectly good skiing. The trail intersection is quite choppy but a minor inconvenience given that the ski are has nearly doubled.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Hard and relatively rutted base after some thawing a refreezing today, but still have near-complete coverage almost everywhere. A couple spots to watch for on the west side and a small handful on the east side, but fine to use your A skis as long as you keep your eyes peeled. The track looked relatively shallow in most places and a bit messier than the skate deck. The connector between the east and west sides is in... interesting shape due to snowmaking, so I'd probably choose one or the other and avoid having to transit between them.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
West side was freshly groomed and in excellent condition given the snow depth. I can't believe how they are able to keep the trail covered so well. The classical track is a little shallow with some ice at the beginning but very good. Some grass and very thin around the soccer field. The top of the turn on the last hill is getting very thin as is the turn at the bottom of the first but still skiable. The snowmaking has pretty much demolished the trail intersection at the baseball diamond.

Gorgeous skiing Friday afternoon/evening both east and west despite heavy traffic. No ice. Tracks are mostly decent though getting wonky in places.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the West at noon and came back for the East in the afternoon. Very good and fast skating particularly on the West. Classical tracks looked very good but could have been slick in spots. Getting a little thin on some of the hills. The last hill on the West is showing a little dirt. At the bottom of the first hill is a large patch of very thinly covered trail showing a lot of dirt, to avoid it I had to take the turn a lot wider than I like. They are preparing to make snow and had the man made loop roped off.
