[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skated the man made loops this afternoon and they were in very good condition, the snow held up well to the warm conditions. No icing, firm and fast. The new area bridging East and West is a little rougher than the area but still perfectly good skiing. The trail intersection is quite choppy but a minor inconvenience given that the ski are has nearly doubled.

Hard and relatively rutted base after some thawing a refreezing today, but still have near-complete coverage almost everywhere. A couple spots to watch for on the west side and a small handful on the east side, but fine to use your A skis as long as you keep your eyes peeled. The track looked relatively shallow in most places and a bit messier than the skate deck. The connector between the east and west sides is in... interesting shape due to snowmaking, so I'd probably choose one or the other and avoid having to transit between them.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
West side was freshly groomed and in excellent condition given the snow depth. I can't believe how they are able to keep the trail covered so well. The classical track is a little shallow with some ice at the beginning but very good. Some grass and very thin around the soccer field. The top of the turn on the last hill is getting very thin as is the turn at the bottom of the first but still skiable. The snowmaking has pretty much demolished the trail intersection at the baseball diamond.

Gorgeous skiing Friday afternoon/evening both east and west despite heavy traffic. No ice. Tracks are mostly decent though getting wonky in places.

Skied the West at noon and came back for the East in the afternoon. Very good and fast skating particularly on the West. Classical tracks looked very good but could have been slick in spots. Getting a little thin on some of the hills. The last hill on the West is showing a little dirt. At the bottom of the first hill is a large patch of very thinly covered trail showing a lot of dirt, to avoid it I had to take the turn a lot wider than I like. They are preparing to make snow and had the man made loop roped off.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Skied both east and west side early morning. Thanks for groomer for awesome conditions with fresh grooming on west side. East side was not regroomed but still good although the short downhill thru the pines starting to get a bit icy. Overall, I've been skiing Elver for almost 40 years and must say doesn't get much better than this!

Really nice evening ski at Elver. A few icy patches but overall fantastic grooming. I noticed a couple (avoidable) spots with dirt, and the unlit trails (behind the manmade loop) might have some thin patches, but it was too dark for me to tell. Either way, no scratches to my good skis! The trail was holding up well even with lots of traffic: there were easily over 100 people out, most of them recreational/beginner classic folks.

Absolutely incredible skiing again today. Skate deck is in pristine condition - a flat solid base with a thin layer of looser snow for good ski control. Rex yellow/blue glider mix was lightning. There was a very small amount of forest debris on the trails (particularly on the west trails and up near the connection point behind the sledding hill) - hence the B ski recommendation. Good skis are doable if you're careful. Enjoy the amazing conditions!

Absolutely incredible skiing today! Skate deck is fast and buttery. The light dusting of snow yesterday covered up forest debris and remaining bare spots - conditions are perfect for testing out your good skis! Highly recommend bringing lots of snacks and fluids because you simply won't want to stop! Thanks again to the Elver grooming team! Rex blue glider was dynamite. Enjoy the epic skiing everyone!

Skied the west (wooded) trails this afternoon. Another shout out to the grooming team for their continued excellence! Skate deck was in fantastic shape today - much flatter and less rutty compared to yesterday and the day before. Didn't check out the loop or east trails but they were open and groomed as of yesterday. Snow was starting to soften near the end of my ski (2:30) but things may harden back up overnight making for some great conditions tomorrow morning. Rex blue glider felt a little harder than necessary today but could be lightning tomorrow morning.
