Great conditions today. Even though it was only about 4 degrees didn't seem that cold. Trails are holding up well. No bare spots on the red loop.

Snow...finally! Got out and did a quick lap around the Green Trail tonight around 5 PM. Must have just been groomed because the conditions were excellent. Nice tracks for classic too. Other trails looked to be in great shape, too. Thanks to WI DNR groomers!

Did the red loop this evening. Pretty good shape considering the limited snow. Nice job grooming! Thanks.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We received about 3 inches of fluffy snow over the weekend and this morning. I packed, groomed and tracked all loops today. The track is rather thin in some spots. The track and skate deck are soft but should firm up in the next couple days. Overall conditions are good. You may still bump one or two rocks on the east part of the yellow and north steep downhill.

Skied on Green to Red to Yellow. Fresh snow has ground pretty much fully covered but not a thick base. Very little visible debris. Trail had not been groomed.

Skiable with caution. The beginning of the Green/Red/Yellow loops had debris and some exposed rocks. After the that, the Red and Green are in pretty good shape. The first half of the Yellow had some rocks and debris, the second half was better but had some thin spots. Lots of boot damage throughout. You may want to use rock skis but the rocks I saw were on uphills and easy to avoid.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
I groomed the skating lanes on all loops this morning. Conditions are fair. A lot of tree debris on the brown loop under the pine and spruce areas. Some thin spots. The yellow, green and red loops are in better condition. Expect to find a few tops of rocks sticking up on the east and north parts of the yellow loop. No track set, a thin hard base.

Skated full rainbow this morning. Overall, very skiable if you don’t mind a few bumps and ruts. Good balance practice. Needs grooming, but trails have great coverage given the little bit of snow. All bigger downhills (including the big yellow trail hill on the north end) are fully covered yet, but a little rough and rutted. Best to take them a bit slower. Brown trail is the worst. Lots of pine cones near the hut. All other trail pretty good debris wise. No classic tracks at all! If you want to classic, go somewhere else until we get more snow.

Surprisingly good conditions. I only skied the Yellow trail. Classic tracks are not set, but skaters should have no problem. Could use more snow, but I will take what we got. I used my waxless skis and had no issues.

We got a couple inches of fluffy stuff yesterday and today. I packed and groomed all loops today. Base is too thin for setting track. May bump the tops of some rocks on the east and the north portion of the yellow loop. Conditions are fair to better, considering the thin base.
