Wonderful ski on a clear cold day. The grooming was impeccable and the scenery was beautiful. Skied two full loops plus the Frog Hollow hot lap. It was nice to try out this hidden treasure.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed entire trail system today with the exception of the short cut offs. Scrubbed the old classic tracks out with the teeth and reset. The old track had many leafs and in a few places was drifted in. The new tracks are a little crumbly but the vast majority of the leafs are gone. Also went over the skate lane which looks perfect. Reset the classic only trail as well. There's a half k hot lap on frog hollow lake along the trail which now has a skate lane and classic track.

The sun and my thick jacket had me fooled about the artic temps most of the time. Overall, nice but sloooooowwwww conditions. There is also some debris, mostly oak leaves, on the trail. Skied in classic tracks were firm and relatively fast. I was the first to ski several kms of track, which were windswept and a bit sinky here and there. Skate deck looked solid. Bonus: I saw a snowshoe hare and a short burst of wolf tracks. Enjoyed it and was comfortable enough I plan to be back tomorrow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails groomed today. Rolled it all last night which resulted in a firm deck for grooming this morning. Full depth tracks and flat skate lane. It's windy so expect some drifting snow and oak leaves in the tracks. All in all, the trail is in excellent condition. Break out the warm clothes and green waxes!

It was a nice morning ski out there today. Trails have deep classic tracks and it looked like the skate trail was in good shape too. The inevitable oak leaves scattered here and there but overall good conditions.

First time on these trails, nice runs and nicely groomed. Awesome work by the folks that maintain these trails, we will be back with both our classic and skate skis.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The entire trail system was groomed today. Since the base is solid was able to use the teeth on the groomer to mix the new snow with the older base. The result looks nice. A few leaves here and there but not bad. It was good to see a bunch of skiers out there using the trail. Made one final pass of the outer loop at about 2pm so the trail is fresh corduroy. Tracks set well. Overnight imagine it will set up and be great for this week.

Another great day on the Tomahawk trails. I started out on classics skis and the trails were in good condition. The tracks have good depth and the recent snow had been packed down by a previous skier or two. I switched to skating and although the trails are firm the recent snow kept the trails slow. Fortunately, as I was out Scott came by and was grooming the trails laying down behind him a beautiful swath of corduroy. Once all the trails are groomed today they should be perfect. Get out and enjoy these trails and thank Scott and crew for their great effort.

I skate skied the yellow loop and the skate deck was firm and fairly fast. A light dusting of snow provided a little grip. No icy spots whatsoever. Groomers have been doing a great job on this trail...thank you!

Skied a portion of the loop and it was terrific. I'm new to skating so the soft snow was a great ego boost!
