Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the entire trail system today both skate and classic. The 2 to 3 inches of snow was just what groomed ordered. With the solid base and new snow the trail is in excellent condition. The leafs and pine needles from last week are all covered up. This coming week should offer great skiing. Including a picture of the classic trail as a reminder the trail system has a classic only loop. Go Packers!

Skate was definitely the way to go today. The skate deck is excellent, hard and fast with a nice half an inch of snow on top in most places. Classic skiers will find quite a bit of leaf debris in the tracks from recent high winds where the trail is goes through the oak canopy. Much of the trail is clear however. There is debris on the skate deck but doesn't impact the skiing. All in all, great consitions.

Mid afternoon start. Beautiful orange sun on the pines. Tracks are perfectly groomed and fast, a little icy on the hills. Skate deck looks firm. If you haven’t skied this trail, you’re missing a treat.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We decided to wait until the temps got colder to groom the snow from last week. Judging by today's grooming results it was a good decision. The entire system was groomed for skate and classic. Skate deck looks great. Classic tracks were a little bit crumbly but should be good once they set up. Overall, the trail is in very good condition.

Trails had not been groomed yet around 3pm when I was there, so be prepared to blaze your own trail through 3-4 inches of wet, heavy snow!

The TLP trails are holding up nicely. We skied from Barnes Road - pure white snow, reliable tracks, and a firm deck. Fastest conditions yet this year. The snow later this week will be most welcome closer to the park where there is heavier use and more debris (mostly oak leaves) on the trail.

The skate deck was firm enough and fast. Thank you volunteer groomers there is just enough snow. The classic track looked good except for some leaves and debris. The warming house / changing room is available to one family unit at a time. Good mixture of rolling hills and nice flats. I enjoy this park and trails.

Classic skied today and the tracks put down last Sunday are still in great shape. There are a few leaves in the tracks but not bad. Thanks to Jeff the groomer who groomed the skate lane on all the trails today! They look awesome! Last Sunday we moved the track setter over a bit so there's a bit wider skate lane while still providing solid pole plants for classic skies. It should be great skiing this weekend.

Great afternoon at Tomahawk. The beauty in the woods was not just visual. Stopping for a drink allowed for enjoyment of the magnificence of utter silence. Starting again brought the serenic sound of the union of snow and ski. Oh, and the skiing was great too! Firm, solid tracks and a firm deck will please all. Kudos to groomers Scott and Jeff.

Entire trail system groomed today both skate and classic. Thanks to groomer Jeff! The trails had seen some heavy use, which is great, but today's grooming may have it in it's best shape this season. The skate deck is flat and classic track full depth. May be a bit soft today but should set up nicely overnight.
