Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Conditions are delightful at Quarry Hill. The classic track has mostly held up well since the last grooming. It is a pretty fast track, which made it really fun. The skate deck looked like it was also in good shape.

The skating deck and the classic tracks were refreshed this morning. It just doesn't get any better than it is.

About as good as its going to get. Tracked for traditional, skate lane is well used and hard packed. Watch for deer as the sun goes down as they will be right along the trail on the east loop at the top of the hill. Beautiful fast snow. Just put on some F4 and buffed... good to go.

Grooming

Groomed all sections of trail this morning both classic and skate. Both are in good condition albeit a little soft from recent snowfall. A beautiful day to enjoy one of the best sports MN has to offer.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
All the trails were goomed except for the west ball field and Park Wood Hills. Right around the Nature Center it's an "ice rink" and grooming was not possible. But, once away from the Nature Center the classic track was re-set and the skate deck was groomed. The classic track is good in some areas and shallow in others. After the rain and the warm temperatures the surface was "boilerplate". The Ginzu's knives would only cut below the surface. The result was a pretty good skating deck (considering).

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All Quarry Hill trails were groomed this morning and are in great shape for skiing. The classic track is thin in some places but is still very skiable.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Overall trail conditions are excellent. The classic tracks are washed out in about 10% of the trail, but otherwise in good condition. Trail was softening up today in the warm temps, but still plenty of base and great conditions overall.

The skate lane was refreshed on all trails; note that a majority of the classic track is good to very shape.
