Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I had the trails all to myself when I skied this morning; it was beautiful but the 2" of new snow in the tracks made it quite slow.
Grooming plans: After receiving over a foot of snow recently, we will be packing it (again) on Friday morning, then I will be grooming and setting tracks in the afternoon.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All 16km (10.5 trails) were rolled this morning, packing down the 8" of new snow. I plan to groom it all this afternoon. Should be excellent conditions but soft. I would guess that Thursday morning will be a good time to ski.

I skied most of the trails after grooming. Exy conditions, still kinda slow snow (or maybe that's just me). Beautiful!

Grooming plans: I will be grooming trails on Friday (was unable to do so recently due to snowmobile repair needed). All trails should be open (16km), including the connector to the Rib Lake club trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Good news, bad news on the trail grooming! As I groomed trails this afternoon (with about 3" new snow), it was going great until the snowmobile overheated and I had to quit. So Gaiter and Corker trails are done (with tracks), about 3.5 km total and look great. Then one of the maintenance staff guys, after towing me (and the Sherpa) in with the LMC (ski hill groomer, like a PistenBully) headed out on the rest of the trails; will do some today and the rest tomorrow. It leaves a beautiful skate lane, 11' wide, but doesn't set tracks for classic skiing. Hopefully, I will set the rest of the tracks before the weekend, assuming we get the snowmobile okay to use again.

Firsthand: Classic

Classic skied nearly everything that was open, all in fine shape. Another 2 or 3 inches of snow and Scott will have this place perfect. I forgot how brutal the hills were on the south side of the road.

I strided all 16k this afternoon. Tracks were good but very slow since the snow is so cold and dry. I am thinking that Sunday afternoon should be a good time to ski.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We received a surprise 2+" snow this morning. I groomed trails in the afternoon; huge improvement from yesterday. Tracks and skate lanes in very to excellent conditions! Now we just need some skiers who can handle cold temps.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I groomed trails again, after the 1" new snow. It wasn't much snow but it helped. New classic trails are quite variable, from excellent to very shallow; overall pretty good. Overall conditions: very good.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
After much snow shoveling to cover some thin stretches, the 12k/24k race trails are very good condition. I will be grooming skate lanes again today. Come ski the Hinderbinder Saturday!
