Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I just finished grooming all of the skate lanes, all trails/loops. The Ginzu with knives down was able to scarify and leave about a half inch of loose snow on top. So skating should be fast but okay for skiing safely. Classic tracks are too solid and icy to do anything with.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I groomed skate lanes tonight, 11k of the 17k of trails. Two passes with the knives down on the Ginzu groomer left the trails relatively smooth, with about 1" of loose snow on top of the hard-packed base. There is plenty of snow base for good skis, but I would play it safe and stick to the fresh-groomed trails and stay off of Rollercoaster, Skidder, and Jammer. The season is not over just yet!

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After being away for a few days (to ski the Kortelopet) and a warm afternoon, the trails needed some attention, so I groomed the skate lanes tonight. Now they are looking very good. I left the classic tracks alone because they still look very good from last week's groom.

This area received about 3" snow overnight. I groomed all 17k this morning and it is beautiful. Excellent conditions for classic and skate skiing. No trail fee required but please sign in and out at the office building (the Ministry Center).

I skied, classic, all the loops while Adam was grooming. Excellent conditions for classic and the skate lanes looked great, too.

Grooming

I rolled most of the trail loops this morning but not Rollercoaster, skidder or jammer trails - troubles with the big hills. Plan is to groom trails tonight or early tomorrow morning. The 4" of new snow is beautiful.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After grooming the skate lanes (3rd time in 4 days), I skated the trails - excellent conditions! I definitely recommend staying off the Rollercoaster trail, as it is too fast to be safe on the hills.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed all 17km of skate lanes again this morning, two passes with the knives down, to create an inch of loose snow on top. Skating will be fast and fun for good skiers. Classic tracks are old, icy and not safe on the big hills.

I groomed all of the skate lanes, at least two passes each, with the knives on the Ginzu down, to loosen up an inch or so of the hard-packed snow. Vey fast but still safe for skating. I didn't set new tracks because it is too hard. The tracks vary from pretty good to washed out and icy.
