Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I scarified the skate lanes this morning on all 17km and it's now smoother and much better, especially where deer had trampled all over it. I didn't set new tracks because the snow pack is pretty hard and the existing tracks are mostly just fine.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are in excellent condition, especially for skating. I groomed the skate lanes this morning (classic tracks were fine), then skated after lunch. Much better than yesterday (faster, smoother).

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I classic skied a few kilometers this afternoon to compare the skin skis with the waxable skis (regular kick wax, maybe klister would have been better) - the grip/kick was way better with the skins. Del was grooming trails with the LMC and Adam was setting tracks with the tracked 4' wheeler and Ginzu. The snow was very fast and surprisingly firm despite difficult grooming conditions (wet snow, above freezing temps). It should be excellent conditions tomorrow, especially for skating, and probably better/ safer after the temps get above freezing again so it's not too fast!

All trails/loops were groomed this morning (I groomed, then skied). Trails were pretty beat up but groomed out nicely and are now in excellent conditions.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions for skate and classic skiing. We had a small middle school group here today and it was perfect conditions for novice skiers (easy to control the skis). We expect great conditions for the Hinder binder race on Saturday!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed the trails again this morning. The 2+"of new snow groomed in nicely, leaving soft but still excellent conditions for skate and classic.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Received about 2" snow overnight so I groomed everything (17k, 11 trails) this morning. Excellent conditions. I will be grooming again tomorrow or Wednesday, if more snow is received. We expect excellent conditions for the Hinderbinder race on Saturday.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All of the loops and the Connector Trail to Rib Lake trail were groomed today. We only got about 1/2" snow last night but it groomed in nicely and covered much of the "dirt" in the tracks. Excellent skate lane and very good tracks. Should be great conditions for the Hinderbinder Race next Saturday (Jan 18)!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Almost all of the 17km of trails were groomed yesterday or today. The snowmobile is down and waiting for a new belt. So I groomed today with the tracked 4-wheeler, which wanders a bit, so the tracks are not as straight as I would like. Overall, very good to excellent conditions. Rollercoaster is only partially groomed because I couldn't get up one of the steep hills due to warm/soft snow and not having the Sherpa to pull the Ginzu.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
After 3 days of packing, then rolling, then grooming with the Ginzu, all of the trails except Gaiter (thin ice on the marsh xing section) are done and in excellent condition. I skied (classic) after grooming today; tracks were excellent but the snow was slow (too warm, around 32 degrees). The skin skis were way better than my waxable skis.
