Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Most of the trails have been packed and then rolled last night or this morning. Very slow going because I spent half the timeoff the snowmobile, shaking snow off the hemlock trees (we have a lot of them). Hemlocks are beautiful but they sure catch and hold onto aton of snow! I plan to groom the trails Wed. morning. It will be soft but beautiful.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Spring-like skiing today at FS! The trails are holding up just fine so far. I would describe conditions as very good to excellent. My skin skis performed surprisingly well in the 40 degree and sunny conditions. Note: The camp buildings will be closed until Dec 26 but the trails are open.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All of the ski trails (17km) are groomed and open. I groomed Rollercoaster for the first time today, so it will be soft, but everything else is firm and looking good. Note: the camp buildings are closed until Dec 26th.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I groomed most of the trails this afternoon; 15k of our 17k are done and in very good to excellent condition. Skidder and Jammer are much improved. Rollercoaster is still not open; it is taking a lot of work to open it because of the steep hills, a small creek crossing and the deep snow (hopefully open by the weekend).

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I re-groomed the 7km of trails that have been open for the past 10 days or so, then was able to get around Skidder and Jammer with the Ginzu, adding 5km to the skiable total. Cold temps should help firm things up. The Sherpa is fixed now, so we should be able to add Gaiter, Rollercoaster, and the Connector trail to get up to 17km open. Plenty of snow here, come to Rib Lake/Westboro to check it out.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I groomed and skied today. Great conditions for going a little slower than usual since the snow is a little drier than usual. Approx 8km groomed; the outer loops (another 8-9km) should be open by Tuesday). No trail fee required,.

Evening
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
After 6 hours on the tracked 4-wheeler today, we had 6km of groomed trails looking great, about 3km of packed and rolled trails, and 8km of just packed trails. Then it snowed about 2" this evening. My plan is to re-groom the 6km of trails tomorrow morning, then the 3km of rolled trails. And then I need to get out and ski! The trails north of Rustic Rd were packed with the LMC today so those will be rolled and groomed sometime soon (Monday?).

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
First day on skis this season. Beautiful day, excellent conditions for skating, very good (or better) for classic. Only around 6km is groomed but it's enough for early December skiing if you do 2 or more times around.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We groomed about 6km of the 17km of trails today. Adam packed first, then Del groomed with the LMC (our ski hill groomer), then I set tracks with the 4-wheeler/Ginzu groomer.Plenty of snow depth but firmly packed, skate lanes look great! The tracks are not as deep as I would like (the LMC packs very firmly) but they are still good. I would call it excellent conditions for skate and very good for classic. We'll work on more trails when the wet areas firm up next week. No trail fee required but donations are appreciated. Please sign in/out at the front desk of the Ministry Center building.
