Classic skied both loops of the UofM golf course this morning. Classic tracks and skate deck in good condition for the majority of the course. Looked like the groomers had been out there earlier in the morning.

Skied both loops this morning. Tracks were in good condition and a beautiful start to the day! We could see a few others in the distance but it felt like we had the tracks to ourselves! A bit windy but got warmed up pretty quickly. Enjoy!

Trail was groomed Friday morning and classic track set. Hopefully the temps keep the skiing in good condition for the weekend warriors.

Went out this morning early, for what might be my last ski until real winter returns. It was glorious. Classic tracks were 80% findable and the skate deck was nice and firm. Inner and outer loops groomed and looking great. Amazing job by the groomers. Off the trail, snow was crusty on top of 8” of heavier, stickier snow. Sigh, I’ll miss this awesome spot! Dang climate change. Let’s think cold thoughts.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skate deck is getting a better base with the recent snow and should be nicely packed down throughout most of the course. There are still some low spots on the hilltops to watch out for. Classic track has seen lots of snow drift from the previous nights winds however. Both loops are open.

At 1pm today the wind was flapping banners and billowing the big range nets. My fish scale , uni-waxed skis screeched with poor glide, especially on the east side where the wind blows. A bit of a slog, but so nice to be out there. In the NW in the lee, 9 or 10 kids enjoyed sledding for a Bruegel like scene I'd never seen before. I miss the inside loop(s) - they were my favorite part of the course. It's too short now and misses some good hills.

The lovely picture of the grooming from last night got me fired up to brave the elements today! By 10:00 am the wind had really picked up and blown across the tracks. Plenty of snow to maneuver and the tracks were still visible for the most part, but be ready to blaze your own trail, especially on the back stretch by the softball field. Felt great to have fresh snow, though!

Glorious! Skate deck is groomed. No classic tracks set, except for a tantalizing few meters at the start of the course. I skied classic in the (wobbly) user defined tracks on the edge of the skate deck. No leaves, no sticks, just one very small part disrupted by tractor tracks. Thanks groomers!

Went early this morning. Not yet groomed. About 2-3 crusty icy snow. It’s slick on top, but full coverage, no leaves, and all those vehicle ruts are covered up now. A good ski all around. Looked like a few skate skiers agreed with me, I followed their tracks around the outer loop.
