Made a pass to clean up the skate deck this afternoon. Classic tracks looked to be in great condition throughout.

Set a beautiful classic track and groomed up the skate deck. Have a great Sunday ski. May be a few soft spots from drifts but overall looking good out here.

Not recently groomed - skiing not great. Tracks not set and snow blew into the trail making the skate deck variable. Snow has good potential but not until it's groomed.

Trails firm and fast, alot of effortless skiing. Best skiing I've had this season. Thanks to trail staff for their great work.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Reset the classic track and touched up the skate deck. Conditions looked as good as they have all year out there. Deck was level and pretty firm. Full depth on the track almost throughout. The snow is really nice right now. A good number of skiers out for a Monday morning getting some laps in.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the skate deck this morning. It was a little soft so is again leveled and hopefully will continue to firm up the base as the sugary leftovers from the rain continue to consolidate. Classic track is well used, but from watching folks ski this morning appeared to be skiing nicely so I choose not to mess with that. Thanks for the reports on conditions as I don't get to ski out here very often and it helps to plan for how to groom.

Very good conditions, with good snow coverage throughout the trails, though the deck was a bit soft in spots. This just meant a bit more effort was required to get up and over the hills, including the one by the grooming shed we'll call "Mitch Hill", in an affectionate homage to a hearty groomer and the great American Birkebeiner!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic tracks were fast and in pretty good shape, if a little shallow (ice was just below the surface). There were a few spots, mostly in curves, where the tracks were a little washed out. The little bits of the skating deck I skied on, in contrast, seemed soft and slow.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Spent almost four hours getting things back into shape tonight. Unlike the Vikings, we are back this weekend! Lots of time spent reworking, leveling and compacting the skate deck. As temps drop it should set up really nice. Classic track was reset as well. The crusty snow left after the rain didn't form it up as perfect as I would have liked but it should ski in fine and I'll try to rework and reset it in the coming days with temps staying below freezing. It looks like a great weekend for skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Attempted to groom this morning and the snow is just too soft and hollow from the rain and warm temps. Didn't seem to be too much ice so once the temps drop we should be fine. Groomer tracks were sinking in too much to be a productive effort. Classic skiing should still be fine today but we will get after it once we get this a little more snow and lower temps.
