Skied Doan Lake trail (left loop). High drifts on lake section, boot prints and chevron steps roughed up hill tracks. Icy, sticky depending on sun exposure. Always a beautiful day on skis.

Incredible touring conditions with plenty of snow, yet solid pole plants! Great weather to take the time to soak in the beauty. The occasional drifting was easily worked around.

Rolled, groomed, and set classic tracks on Trout Lake and Doan Lake trails. 6" new snow. Plenty of drifting on south side of Trout Lake and east side of Doan Lake. Most of Trout Trail only single tracked due to drifts.

Started at around 11am. With recent warm days expected some icy conditions, hoping for a little softening. Temp was 30 and the trail skied very well, fast but controllable. Had to take a ski out of the track to control my speed on a couple of downhills. Lots of wolf and other tracks. Great to be out, hopefully a few more ski days left.

4" light fluffy snow. Rolled and set new classic tracks on all Trout Lake and Doan Lake Trails. It was dark and no rear facing lights but it looked like some roller wake might have splashed onto the first set of tracks in places. Really nice conditions overall.

The tracks were rocket fast just like Suomi Hills. However, the gradual turns and grades of the Trout and Doan Lake Trails are much more forgiving. Skins provided decent kick and also avoided the red oak leaves occasionally present.

All Trout Lake and Doan Lake trails rolled this afternoon and new classic tracks set. More snow fell later today. Grooming plans: I'll groom and set new tracks Tuesday.

I skied the Doan Trails and the Trout Trails to the north Trailhead. 1/2" heavy wet snow Monday night was frozen and fast. Much of the leaf debris was covered and the tracks were solid. Overall excellent conditions.

Groomed and set new classic tracks on Doan lake trails tonight. Multiple light drifts along the lake but I think they groomed out ok. Premium conditions overall. JC set new tracks on Trout Lake trails earlier today. Great skiing out there.
