After bailing on ungroomed William O'Brien we took a chance that Jackson Meadow would be groomed already and were very pleased to find almost the entire trail system rolled. It was still soft, but much more manageable. No classic tracks set. Kudos to the groomer for getting out and getting it ready. It is going to be fantastic after a full grooming.

Beautiful sun and no wind in Jackson Meadow this morning -- the main trail not icy, except for a couple small frozen spots, but very firm with lots of frozen pebbles from the grooming after the melt and refreeze. Definitely skate-able and overall not too bad, just not great. Existing Classic tracks were still there on most of the main trail although a few stretches were not tracked. The classic tracks on the narrow side trails still looked ok with a dusting of fresh snow on top. The big hill at the south end was very fast but you could snowplow down it. I started to do the trail in the woods-gorge but decided against it as the entry was hard and frozen and figured the hills might be icy.

We are working on the trails after the thaw and refreeze created some boilerplate skiing. The skate deck is groomed and ready to go. We left most of the classic tracks, but they are icy. Hoping slightly warmer temps will make resetting the tracks a little easier.

With the warm temps and lack of overnight freeze, we are asking people to stay off the trails for the day. Looks like temps will drop tonight and we will groom the trails (possibly set new tracks) on Monday. Thanks!

Jackson was outstanding today, especially the skate deck! Fresh corduroy and sun with no wind until the clouds drifted in after noon. Some of the narrower, outer classic trails appeared to be not groomed recently, but the track still seemed distinct enough and not icy when I used it for double poling. Thanks for keeping it in great shape!

Trails were all groomed beautifully with a little dusting of fresh snow. I feel bad for the groomer as some inconsiderate individuals decided to snow shoe all over the trail. I love to snowshoe too but do it in the woods and would never ruin a freshly groomed trail. The classic track were still good and skiing was delightful!

After spending some extra time rolling and knocking down drifts, all trails are now packed and tracked. Conditions should be excellent.

Trails are packed and tracked. Exception: trails in the SW corner are rolled, the classic tracks were left alone and are skiable. Hoping to groom this tonight so it firms up before the next round of snow.

We scratched up the skate deck on Friday night and it’s in good shape. This removed many of the leaves. Not seeing any major bare spots, so the snow survived last week’s warm ups. Classic tracks are firm and fast (a bit icy) and filled with leaves in the wooded areas.

Reports are that there are a lot of leaves down in the wooded areas and trails are icy. We will wait until after the warm-up tomorrow to give the trails a refresh, planning to do that Friday night. Stay tuned for a grooming report, but trails should be in good shape for the weekend.
