2019-2020 season
Reports 8 to 17 of 60    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec | Nov

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Groomed but not tracked. Skied in old tracks and used excellent groomed skate lanes for downhills. Very fast but mohair skis had good glide and kick. Would be cautious on steep downhills.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are open but have deteriorated to fair condition for skating from the weekends warm temperatures. Tracks are in poor condition. No grooming today. However, on Tuesday we will be demoing a tractor/ tiller combo for grooming ski trails. We plan to groom the 2.5K and part of the 6K loop with this equipment, including setting new tracks, to see what kind of results we get with the current snow conditions. If you are able, stop by Tuesday afternoon with your skis and try the freshly groomed trails, and give us your feedback before you leave.

All trails groomed this morning with tracks reset after receiving approximately 2" of fresh snow overnight. Conditions will be very good for skating and striding if you hit the window, before everything softens up.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed skate lanes on 2.5K and 6K loops Monday. Tracks were not reset. With current temperature swings conditions are variable throughout the day from bullet-proof in the morning to soft and sticky in the afternoon. Skate skiing is best as tracks can be icy in the morning and during the day in shady areas.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails groomed over the past two days with tracks set and fresh corduroy on skating lanes. Tracks in some areas will be a little shallow due to old, hard snow but overall are in very good condition. Excellent conditions for skating.

Evening
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed up the 2.5K and 6K loops this morning after the weekend thaw. Tracks were removed but not reset as we weren't getting good results. Skate skiing will be good on these loops after the temps warm up and the snow softens a bit. All other trails remain open but conditions will be variable depending on temperatures.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All ]
Received about 2" of fresh snow overnight. All trails were groomed this morning with tracks reset throughout. Excellent conditions. Trails will be a little soft so we ask dog owners not to run their dogs on the freshly groomed ski trails until they have set up. Your consideration will be appreciated.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All skate lanes have been refreshed this morning. They will be slightly chunky in some sections given the cold, hard snow we have to work with, but overall will be very good. Tracks are still in very good condition. Best snow conditions will be on the Training Loop and Papoose Trails.

The snow conditions were prefect. Fast, good kick, nice edging. The trails however could have used a freshening up; they were getting a little chewed up from heavy use. I'm glad they made the last section before the chalet 2-way.
