Wow all the rain must have missed this area. It is perfectly beautiful for XC-skiing! Lots of snow and it is powder! It doesn’t hurt if you wipeout! Grooming is perfect for skiing or fat-tire biking! The beauty of it all... lots of snow still hanging on the trees. It really is one of the best areas to ski. So extremely tranquil and not a lot of people!

Excellent conditions - freshly groomed and a beautiful day to be out skiing. Skied about 1/3 of the trails. Parking lot was not plowed, but a couple tracks by previous vehicles over about 6” of fresh snow.

Fantastic conditions on trails! Skiing on classical tracks was perfect—fresh snow with great grooming made for a pristine trail experience. Such a treat to spend the afternoon in the hushed beauty of deep winter snow so early in the season. Best snow for skiing we’ve seen in years!

Finally had the opportunity to ski the trails we've been grooming for over a month. Ah the life of an innkeeper and trail administrator. Trails were as good as they have ever been in the past 12 years we've been caring for them. Don't be surprised with a few snow draped branches and small trees bridging the tracks. Unless you're over 7 feet tall, there will be no limbo required. Come up and ski this hidden winter wonderland and better yet, join us for a ski weekend at the National Forest Lodge.

Happy 2020! We got 7 inches of great dry snow this past week. All ski and fatbike trails were groomed Tuesday morning and are in spectacular shape, not to mention the beautiful snow draped pines. Our vacation rental cabins are available for you to ski in and out of! Enjoy the snow!

Groomer was completing trails as we skied. Great snow. Deck is soft. Some areas were not tracked but it was being done as we skied.

Happy 2020! We got some great snow over the weekend and will be grooming Tuesday morning. The trails should be absolutely superb. Great dry snow, unlike the wet mix along the North Shore. No slop here. Try out the new Fat Tire trails too! Cabins are available for New Years and additional rooms just down the road at our Baptism River Inn B&B! Enjoy the snow!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were groomed last on Saturday, Dec 14th. Our snowmobile is back from the shop but spurs west of intersections 2, 18, 16 and 14 un-groomed from most recent 9-10 inches. Fatbike trails are all groomed, but will be too soft to ride until warm up is over. Trails in good condition but wet 1" from yesterday in tracks. With weather coming in this weekend, will hopefully be grooming Monday.

Close to 3 feet of snow to date. Trails were groomed last Saturday, Dec 14th. Had a snowmobile breakdown that left trail spurs west of intersections 2, 18, 16 and 14 ungroomed from most recent 9-10 inches. Fatbike trails are all groomed. All other trails in excellent condition. Waiting on repair and will update after Christmas. Happy Holidays!
