All trails were gone over this morning with the track being reset on all. We still have an occasional area with light snow cover. All can easily be avoided if paying attention! Once again we had snowmobiles tear up the light base that we have on the power high line areas.

I was out this morning and cleaned up the skate lane. The tracks were left left alone and are in very nice shape. Enjoy the weekend!

Great skiing today at Pioneer Creek. Kudos to Don the groomer and Vilas Cty for developing and maintaining this trail. 14F, low wind out of the north. 5” new lake effect snow on top of firm flat deck. The south loops, a more hilly section, have really leveled out with the last week of snow.

All trails were tracked and a very nice combed skate lane is setting up. There are no bare spots to report at this time, finally! I've started to level and fill in much of the camel humps that exist within most of the trail system and things are looking good.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I was out this morning and reset the track and groomed all trails. We still have a few thin spots and on occasion you might have to step out of the track. Things are slowly improving. Get out and ski!

Great coverage of snow. Not too fast but good. A nice workout. The trail is excellent in the Pine forest. Out of the woods, you hope the wind is at your back! The big surprise was very little tree litter on the trail with all this wind.

First time on these trails. Great tracks all the way around “the big loop”. There us a wide skate lane waiting to be used. I did 8.4 miles which included twice around big loop.

I went out and groomed/tracked all trails this morning. Still have some very thin spots with a weak track set in the heavy timber areas. Things are getting better but could use more snowfall to really level things off. The big loop is beautiful with a nice deep track set!

Great job on grooming, Don! Enjoyed the trail. The trails were fast and little debris. Encountered a few groups of skiers that were having a great time.

I combed the entire system this morning. The big loop (Pioneer Crk Trl) on the map, is by far the most usable of the system. This loop has plenty of snow cover with no bare spots to report! As for the rest, not so good. Grooming will be very limited until we get more snow.
