Skied the trails west of Pilot Knob Road. Far fewer oak trees leaves on this side of park. Tracks were still pretty crisp and firm with no glazing. The oak leaves on the trails have been way worse than we are currently experiencing - on a scale of 1(best) to 10 (worst) current leaf conditions are maybe a 3-4. Hopefully winds will stay light, and it'll get cleaned up with the next grooming.

Skied the classic and skate areas. The classic tracks are excellent but there are so many oak leaves in them, I talked to guy who said this is the most leaves he's seen. The skate skiing area was also in excellent shape and leaves weren't a problem there.

Excellent grooming by Dakota County. Unfortunately, the light winds brought down some leaves. I have seen it a lot worse, and with the colder temperatures, the kick wax didn't pick up the leaves. I used Toko blue glide wax and Start Terva Black for kick. Boot tracks today were rare, a nice side effect of the cold weather.

Out after the groomer (we were numbers 2 and 3), great conditions at Lab Hills. The fresh grooming is perfect and downhills are perfect for snowplowing with a little powder on a firm base, no ice. Some oak leaves in the tracks as always but for waxless skis no big deal at all. Thanked the groomer in person but want to do so here too.

The trails were being groomed this morning, and I followed the PistenBully around the south side of the park. Unfortunately, oak leaves are falling into the tracks with the wind today. I used my skin skis with the new soft snow and they worked great! It was fun to be the first person to ski some of the perfectly groomed trails!

Skied the inside trails starting at Schulz at about 7:30 PM and 10 degrees F. Trails were firm and somewhat glazed with a thin layer of new snow. Used Start Terva Green for kick, and it was mostly worn off at the end. Boot prints are starting to increase on the northern trails.

Tracks freshly reset today! Started my ski at 8:00 PM at Schultz Lake and completed the outer loop. Tracks were crisp and firm, though there was a little fresh snow to slow the tracks. Little to no debris in the tracks which is a special treat at Lebanon. Most of the foot tracks were from deer. I've skied at Lebanon nearly thirty years, and I think this winter is the best I've ever experienced.
