Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails were groomed this morning. The classic track over on the Ski Games trail was reset. There are a few spots around the trail system were grass is poking up but are avoidable. Sunshine and little wind make it a great day to get out.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We skied the Ski Games and Bronze courses this morning. The Ski Games course hadn’t been regroomed as of 11AM today, and showed signs of heavy weekend usage, both from skiers as well as many hikers and animal prints. The Bronze trail, as well as all the other trails east of Battle Creek Rd., were freshly rolled and in good to excellent condition, albeit a little slow due to the dusting of snow overnight. Kudos to the grooming staff for getting and keeping these trails in great shape.

What a chilly day. Skate deck was icy and fast oOn the gold course loop. Only a few skiers out, enjoying the bright sunshine.

Hard packed snow on skating deck throughout. Good protection from today’s lighter wind in the woods But the wind in the open meadows wasn’t bad. Enjoy!

Bronze, Silver and A-climb resurfaced this morning. Overall conditions good. Classic track looks firm and has very little drifting, some leafy spots.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We reset the classic tracks in the open areas since they had drifted shut from all the wind. The rest of the classic tracks are good with the exception of several leaves in the wooded areas. Two skiers I talked to said that the leaves were very manageable. I made one pass on the skate Deck on the Silver Trail and that has good coverage. High School meet at 3 pm today. We plan to regroom tomorrow morning. Stay warm!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the bronze, silver, gold and ski games trails for skate and classic. Mostly good coverage, thin spots are easily avoidable. It was a dry snow so every thing is soft and will take time to setup.

Skied the Gold, Silver, Bronze, WC trails. All were in excellent shape for classic, and appeared to be excellent for skating. No significant ice. Swix V-30 worked great. This was the first time I've skied Battle Creek in many years, and I really enjoyed all the steep hills and the excellent grooming. Great workout. Trying to keep my streak going, with 39 consecutive days of skiing so far!

Skied the Ski Games trails. I usually avoid them except in good snow years. I was surprised by the excellent conditions for both skate and classic. Firm, deep tracks and good coverage throughout.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Regroomed all trails including Silver, Bronze, Gold, World Cup and Ski Games. Re-tracked SkiGames. All other trails tracked yesterday and in good condition.
Overall there is plenty of coverage throughout the system although a few small bare spots and some debris call for B ski recommendation. Get out for a comfortable ski before the cold weather sets in!
