Just the same loop, but the guns were blazing on everything else except the bagel. Some of the existing loop seemed like new snow. Things were breaking down a bit, but less sugary than Wirth was Saturday. Took one hot lap before the crowds started showing up, logged 3:17 using my warm flex/grind Rossi's with what might be illegal wax on them from Wednesday.

Snow was in great condition this morning. Was glad to see the guns blazing out new snow. Elm looks really close to being able to open the remaining part of the man made trail.
Plenty of people getting their ski on this morning.

Conditions were very good. Classic track was firm, not washed out, and not icy. The skate lane looked "sugary", but not deep. My attempt at an early season, old man "hot lap" resulted in 5:16, using traditional classic technique, i.e., did not double-pole the entire loop. Not wanting to mess with kick wax at 30 degrees on old artificial snow, I used Atomic Redster C9 skins with Swix CH7 glide. Challenging the rest of Team Eat Bowl Relax!

The trail this evening was way better than yesterday's icy 1k loop; new man made snow was made and groomed at some point since last night. Around 10-20 people were there around 8:50 pm, only one person was skiing when I left around 9:30. Still only the 1k man made loop was open.

Skied the 1k loop around 9:00pm, most of the trail was pretty icy! Only option is the man made 1k loop.

Still only the 1.2k loop open. Conditions were very fast despite the 50 degree weather. Trail still very glossy and firm, with very minimal breakup of the trail on some of the climbs. The snow on the rest of the loop that isn't groomed seems to be sticking around well. Not too busy around 3 in the afternoon. Hopefully the upcoming weather allows for a larger loop. Did a hot lap in 3:22.

The 1km loop is open and was not too busy at 7:20 when I arrived but very busy by 9:00 a.m. I thought they might open the balance of the 2.5 km loop but not yet. Today there were a lot of skaters and very few classic skiers. Excellent ski conditions, of course.

Classic skiing was awesome today, with hard wax being the ticket due to pretty fresh snow rather than the snow-cone skiing we had last weekend. Blue wax was bomber at 18deg at 7:45. As it warmed up into the mid-20's I added violet and that was still working well when I quit at about 11 (and snow was soft enough to not strip the wax - I skied 30k before re-waxing). Tracks were super-solid and had barely started breaking down by 11 am, although the steepest part of the donut climb was starting to get tough due to lots of loose snow.
