Fast conditions but not icy. Nicely groomed with very hard base. I used B skis but really could have used good ones. Stride lanes looked good also.

Nine Mile was fantastic Saturday for the race. Hard packed, very fast, no ice, great stability. While I skated, I jumped in the tracks several times, and they were firm and clean.

Excellent conditions, all freshly rolled and firmly tracked except for big and little Alps and the marsh - those segments are packed but bumpy and icy.

Excellent skiing on Friday morning, fresh tracks and skate lanes. We will have great conditions for the Snekkevik ski race on Saturday.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The 6k, 10k, Leo’s, lighted, and Y were groomed tonight for skate. Tracks were reset on the 6k, 10k, Leo’s, the lighted and Y. The groomer was still out working to set up for Snekkevik classic on Saturday so that skiers could practice. We had a brief glaze of mixed precipitation at noon that didn’t interfere with the classic fun tonight by our school age skiers.

Conditions were great but the oak leaves in the tracks was pretty brutal. Leave your kickwax at home and bring skins or waxless. Or better yet, leave your classic skis at home and bring skate skis, skate deck was perfect. I don’t see this issue resolving itself too soon.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails were regroomed this morning. Quite a few spots with oak leaves from the wind today. We will be open all day Saturday. Snekkivik ski race is in the morning, but we will have trails open for other skiers.

Night

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Great time skiing at Nine Mile Monday night. Tracks were in great condition and as far as I could see all or most trails were open. They offer lighted night skiing and the 6k and main street loops were excellent.

The snow has dried out beautifully. Skied the 20, 6 and Leo’s loops. Track was fast but not hair raising and skate deck was firm but not icy. Grooming held up nicely under the lovely traffic of “Southerners”.
