Conditions were great but the oak leaves in the tracks was pretty brutal. Leave your kickwax at home and bring skins or waxless. Or better yet, leave your classic skis at home and bring skate skis, skate deck was perfect. I don’t see this issue resolving itself too soon.

Trails were regroomed this morning. Quite a few spots with oak leaves from the wind today. We will be open all day Saturday. Snekkivik ski race is in the morning, but we will have trails open for other skiers.

Great time skiing at Nine Mile Monday night. Tracks were in great condition and as far as I could see all or most trails were open. They offer lighted night skiing and the 6k and main street loops were excellent.

Just finished grooming. Very light snow coming down. Conditions are fast but not icy.

The snow has dried out beautifully. Skied the 20, 6 and Leo’s loops. Track was fast but not hair raising and skate deck was firm but not icy. Grooming held up nicely under the lovely traffic of “Southerners”.

Skating trails were groomed snow over very hard base. Some areas of gray ice. I used good skis but B skis probably would have been a better choice. Stride trails looked icy but no one seemed to be having any problems. Need more snow.

Classic skied at Nine Mile Forest today, many of the tracks are icy and the amount of forest litter in the tracks was a concern. The skate deck was fine and this allowed a person to negotiate the downhills without a problem. New tracks had been set on Leo's Loop and this was by far the most enjoyable trail we skied on. I would rate the condition of tracks on Leo's Loop as good to very good. For the majority of the other trails I skied, a fair rating.

Trails were in good to very good condition. There is plenty of snow, about 12" in the woods. There were a few very small areas (less than 10') of ice on the skating deck that the groomers had chopped up. I only saw two such areas in my 12k ski. They were easy to see and would be easy to bypass. There was also considerable unloading of snow from overhead pines in some areas of the trail. The snow being dropped was quite wet, bordering on slush. A warm hard wax worked although the softening tracks were not particularly fast. Still a nice day on the trails.

Great ski conditions and beautiful scenes. Two trails are not groomed due to wet areas. The rest of the trails had perfect tracks and a firm skate deck.

Awesome conditions at Nine Mile today - firm base with some give on top, and great grooming on trails that were groomed. About 75% were groomed and most with two passes or more. Deep classic tracks with minimal debris - fantastic.
