After weeks of rollerskiing in the Deep South (Milwaukee) it was glorious to be on snow in the gorgeous woods. Skied the 10k loop twice between 3-5pm. Great conditions - a bit soft/deep on the hills toward the end of the day - but no complaints. Know the groomer was working hard (36 hours with no sleep) and the results were great. Will be back tomorrow for more.

Due to the rain yesterday and overnight, conditions have deteriorated. Classic tracks have been icing up causing difficult conditions, especially for novice skiers. We are allowing for the rain to pass through the existing base and continue with trail maintenance after the front has passed. The chalet will be closed Sunday.

The chalet and trails will be closed Sunday due to expected weather. We will resume grooming, if possible, on Monday after trails have dried a bit. Check back Late Sunday or Monday for more information.

Conditions today day are very fast on hard pack granular snow. Skate lanes were groomed overnight. A few thin patches on Leo's and the 20k. Tracks are still in place and look good in most areas.

Freshly groomed. Great conditions. We had low expectations for ski conditions on our drive back north from holiday gatherings in Milwaukee. But, the brown ground gave way to snow, and conditions were great at Nine Mile. Trails were freshly groomed and the skate deck was remarkably firm, edgeable, and relatively fast given the above freezing temps. We were on B skis, but could have used better.

Trails are still in great shape in spite of the warm weather. Trail was wet today but should be fast in the morning. Novice skiers might want to wait until temps are in thirties. Grooming will resume on Thursday and we will have regular hours the rest of the week. Chalet will be closed Christmas Day, but trails will be open and lit. There is a pit toilet in parking lot.

Outstanding conditions- skied almost all trails and they were fantastic. Good skis for sure. Alps trail had not been groomed for a few days but was still very skiable.

Conditions remain good to excellent on the entire system. There is a 6-8" base and we are grooming daily with the exception of Christmas day. The chalet will be closed on Christmas day, but open daily otherwise.

The trails are holding up well during our warm weather. Used my B skis but could have used good skis. The trails I was on had all been groomed and in good condition.

We have lots of beautiful snow on the trails. The lighted and 10k were groomed today. Others were yesterday. We plan to groom every day this week except Christmas.
