All the manmade snow loops are open and groomed for skate and stride. Excellent conditions, though there is some softening in the warming temps. Great job by the volunteer snow makers and groomers to make this happen.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The snow making the last four days has paid off, we were able to get the full 2.5 km man-made ski loop open. The N. Lower Loop needs additional snow and additional grooming, but it is very skiable.

Firsthand: Classic

I had a really nice classic ski at mid morning today. Great conditions and many had on their new skis. Thanks so much to all who made this possible! Beatle and others have put in many hours to arrive at these type of conditions. The new Pistonbully was worth every penny! Grooming of the "Into the Woods" section was being done and should be open very soon. The one negative was that groups were congregating! We must be still be very careful with this virus and still social distance! Nordic skiing is the perfect social distance activity if done right.

The ski conditions were fantastic. Enough loose snow for edging and balance with an even skate deck. The 1k manmade loop was groomed 40' wide to allow social distancing even with a large number of skiers. It was so fun I ended up skiing the Korte distance. While skiing, snow blowers making snow and the groomer was piston bully spreading further on the trail. Thanks to all the volunteers for their dedication.

Excellent conditions on the manmade snow. A loose layer of crystalline snow on a firm base. Solid, well formed tracks. Currently the Pond loop and the Tail End loop are open, with the Woods loop to open when spreading and grooming are completed. The Field loop is covered and awaiting spreading.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Snowmaker‘s, Mark, and I have been very busy the last three days. Magic carpet has been added to the 1 K Loop, so it should be really good skiing out there today. As I left the park this morning there were a lot of skiers flying around already.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The lower manmade snow loop is in very good condition. A loose layer of crystalline snow on a firm but not icy base makes for great skating conditions. Tracks were reset recently. Snowmaking is in progress on the field loop, with spreading underway on the woods loop.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Snow Maker‘s have been making snow since Wednesday evening. They have been making snow all Christmas Eve day, all Christmas day, and the guns are still blowing some beautiful snow. Mark and I have groomed the 1 K Loop and set tracks. Currently we are leveling many whales and grooming on a good portion of the trails going into the woods. If everything goes as planned, tomorrow morning should be awesome skiing. Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
The first skier at 6 am. enjoyed a magical Christmas morning on the newly Pisten Bully groomed 1K loop with fresh tracks set. While skiers are nestled snug in their beds the snowmakers and groomers work all through the night creating a winter wonderland. More trail will be opening over the weekend.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I groomed the 1 kilometer loop that we currently have open and set tracks where I could. The Pisten Bully really did a fantastic job turning the block of ice trail into skiable conditions. Snowmaking has resumed so stay tuned. Hopefully we will be skiing into the woods soon! Merry Christmas.
