Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Challenging grooming conditions at the park this morning. The skate deck on the lighted trail was tilled and should be in good condition. The classic track was touched up in areas that had drifted over. The remaining track was left as is. The recent snow and rapid cool down have left the snow very firm. it was difficult to till the skate deck deep enough to cover the PB tracks in areas.

The lighted ski trail had been mostly groomed with the PistenBully and was in excellent shape with a firm skate deck and great tracks. The section from the bottom of the South Hill to the man-made ski trail had about an inch of new snow and the tracks were poor. The upper loops had a softer skate deck but was in good shape. No groomed tracks on the upper loops, mainly skied in tracks and no track in several sections.

Windy with minor drifting across the trails and especially in the tracks. Nice surface for skating. Groomed overnight - trail surface is not too firm and not too soft. Good skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trails at Lapham peak are in excellent skiing condition. I groomed and set tracks on the man-made and the entire lighted loop. The new snow we received yesterday and overnight groomed up beautifully. The DNR has also been out overnight and has groomed the entire trail system. I plan on going out later this morning and grooming up the playground and the meadow.

Snowing at noon. Windy out of the southeast. Ginzu groomed overnight. Very good skiing surface - loose soft snow over a solid base. Packing down a bit in places.

Some of the best ski conditions of the season today - and we have had a lot of great days. Groomed, firm, level skate deck. Deep, solid tracks - except at the one spot where a deer bedded down for the night.

Skated the lighted loop with smooth skate deck of corduroy groomed by the piston bully. Great conditions with good edging and not icy. The magic carpet was fast, fun, and controllable. Thanks to the groomer and the report.

I had the Pisten Bully out early this morning. I groomed and set new tracks on the entire man-made and the entire lighted loop. Our sweet new Pisten Bully has these trails in excellent skiing condition. The DNR was also out overnight and has groomed the entire trail system.

Joanie and I classic skied the outer loop and purple trail early this morning. Tracks were great on the upper trails (thanks for the overnight setting of these tracks) and OK, but a bit worn, on the lighted lower trails. Skate lanes were all in great condition, which made for fun downhills.

Great skiing on the entire trail system today. Best snow coverage I've seen in many years. The lighted loop that was groomed by the Pisten Bully was in great shape with beautiful tracks. The skate lane on the upper trails was a tad soft but still very nicely groomed. Skied-in tracks on the upper trails were shallow and washed out or non-existent in places.
