The falling snow will be great to freshen up the trails but right now it's hiding the thin spots. You'll want to use rock skis until the volunteers can get out and groom away the secrets.

Skated this morning around 9. Trails in mostly good condition considering the weather and lack of snow but are starting to get thin and dirty. First long hill on the gold has a large brown spot that's hard to avoid (built in rest on the hill I guess) and there's a fair bit of debris throughout the rest of the course. B skis, teetering on rock skis but still a great ski!

The skate deck is still holding up but getting thin. The usual oak leaves in the trail along with tree debris from tree trimming. The track is shallow but skiable and worn out around corners.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Skating deck of the Bronze, Silver and Gold trails was reset. Conditions pretty good considering how thin the base is. A few bare-ish spots and debris on the surface but otherwise quite skiable. Existing classic track holding up well; just a few very leafy sections, Ski Games trails closed.

Surprisingly nice corduroy today, with debris and thin coverage only at the tops of a couple of hills (the usual spots). Thanks to the groomers for a fabulous job. It was really great to be out here today.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trails are in very nice shape. Thank you Bill! The classic track was a little shallow in spots but fine to use good skis. The skate deck was in good shape and very fast and firm. It was a bit chilly -4 and I felt a bit lonely being the only skier at 8:00 PM but need to get out and enjoy the snow why we have it. A few flurries coming down this morning but could sure use a few more inches over the nice base at most places. Get out and enjoy skiing with the warmer temps on the way!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Battle Creek Silver and Bronze trails were completely renovated with new tracks set this morning. The trail turned out surprisingly well considering the low snow. There are just a few spots to be concerned about on the tops of open area. Most of the classic tracks are good with some being excellent and again only a few spots that are shallow and show debris.

Hard packed but good coverage! More or less what I expected given how little snow we've gotten. The one big hill on the gold loop has a bare patch at the top, but otherwise the coverage was good. The trail crew was out shoveling and covered up some of the other thin spots, so many thanks to them! It looked like ski games was still closed.
