Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
Three high school meets set to take place this week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3pm - 5:30pm. Although trails are not closed to the public for these meets, please be aware of the high volume of skiers during the meet time. Thank you.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Skied mid-afternoon, timing my ski with the big youth ski league practice - wow! Nice to see how much trail Ramsey County has re-opened: Pond loop and most of the Prairie, with snowguns going in multiple locations. Large range of skiers but always space to ski. A few uphills were getting soft, but nothing too bad. Good skis no problem. Nice ski, and looking forward to even more trail segments opening.

Began ski around 11 am. Classic tracks solid, very good. Trails open have variety of flats, uphills, and downhills to ski. Very enjoyable, highly recommend.

Great ski this morning. The crew continues to do well given the weather. Classic tracks looked good.

[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
There were about 15 skiers out at 6:30 this morning enjoying the opening of the Prairie loop. Thanks BC crew for all the hard work to open more trail. Uphill was sugary, but other areas were firm and fun.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Might seem like "baby steps" but we're taking them as we can. The Prairie Bypass segment is now open to skiers. Please respect the orange cones at the Prairie Loop exit and Horseshoe entrance intersections -- Although they appear to be groomed, those two segments remain closed. Grooming plans: If all goes according to plan, the Prairie Loop should be open tomorrow morning, and a significant portion of the Horseshoe by the end of the day tomorrow.

Back to the 0.6k pond loop at Battle Creek, but we have to be grateful for that. Good conditions, not too much sugar, and at least four snowguns blazing in the beyond. Lots of middle and high school teams arrived as I was wrapping up. Where else can you see 200 youngsters outdoors, not one of whom is on their phone? Wonderful!

Battle Creek was still only the Pond Loop this morning. The western portion of the stadium was leveled off but was not groomed yet for skiing. Even with the new snow made, the base is less than what was present prior to the Christmas Melt Down, but glad to have some trail open again. Because of the warmer overnight temperatures, no new snow was made overnight. Hopefully with colder weather there will be a window to make additional snow, and open more trail by the weekend.
