Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The groomer was finishing up as we started. It was rolled on Friday and tracked on Saturday. The snow was a bit icy but actually fast. South of the parking lot side was in very good shape. We only went part of the way on the North side, what we did do was great. Unfortunately, on the multiuse area people tend to walk in the tracks. It is still beautiful to go back in the woods.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We groomed today at Chomonix Golf Course and Woods of Chomonix. Golf course skate deck and classic track should be in good condition. Woods will be fair to good condition with occasional thin spots, track may not be set throughout the woods due to limited base.

I skied the 5k north loop, there are some good tracks and bad spots. It's a mixed review with good tracks in some places, and no tracks to icy conditions in other areas. The starting area is very slick with no tracks until you get past the club house and service road. Same conditions appear on the front and back side of the creek bridge, and where the multi-use sign is posted, and trail along George Watch Lake and into the wooded section. It does not look like they even laid tracks - just a skate deck.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
First time at this trail, skated both loops. The multi-use portion is a little beat up from walkers and bikes, some dirt, and oak leaves and twigs are starting to accumulate in the woods. The golf course portion was much better and smoother, with classic tracks looking good. Next time I'll probably stick to the golf course loop.

Tracks set and in good shape for most of the intermediate section. Skip the mixed use trail through the woods if you are looking for classic tracks.

It looked like the golf course and woods were groomed this morning. Golf course was in great shape - just a few thin spots. The classic tracks on the golf course looked good overall. The woods and multi use trail were OK for skating. Not much for tracks in the woods.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skied the north loop. The start and end were good - nice tracks for classic. The northern most part of the trail shifted to fair and less than fair, beginning at sign stating multi-use trail which crosses over the ski trail. I noticed the deck was heavily used by skaters across the whole trail. All and all, a great sunset ski!

Observation Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All ]
Just stopped by to check on status. Spoke with manager and reviewed the trails. They groomed for the first time in Friday, and again this morning. Due to warm weather and beautiful sunshine, he estimates trails are currently in fair to less than fair condition.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
I skied the classic section which is just over 1 mile long on Friday, Saturday and today. Except for three small sections that were washed out, the classic trails were overall in pretty good shape.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied at noon. Skate deck was in good shape all around and had been recently groomed. A few thin spots but little dirt or grass. Classic track had been set except the north portion through the woods and meadow. Didn’t look like they planned to set this portion, probably due to thin cover. Thus, about 2.5 miles of classic. Skate deck fully groomed. Returned for a late afternoon spin and the course was getting roughed up in places, mainly due to walkers. Otherwise in good shape. Still no set classic on the north woods and meadow, but a thin skier track was visible.
