Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Grooming continued today at Battle Creek. We got to the Ski Games trail and did a quick pass down the skate lane on WC/Gold trail. All tracks are in OK condition on the whole system. Skate deck is good to very good as well. We will continue to work the trail, each day it will be better. We are very lucky we don't have any place with a glare ice base.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Groomed the skate lane on Bronze and Silver Trails today. Had to go over it several times since it was so hard which did leave time to do the Ski Games Trail. The classic track is OK but a few leaves in the trees. skating is better as you can get an edge almost everywhere we have groomed. The snow is fast so be careful on the downhills.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Groomed the Bronze, Silver and Gold which took some time as the track was very hard. Also set classic tracks on the same trails. Looks quite skiable although I'm sure it is quite fast. Sorry but did not get to the Ski Games side yet, shooting for tomorrow. Be careful as there are some icy spots at the bottom of a few downhills. Hope we get a couple inches of snow soon as it would really help.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Grooming has started. Multiple passes started to break loose the hard pack from the recent melt. The prairie portion of the Bronze trail has been groomed for skating (no track yet) to the base of the A-climb (below map point 5). There was perhaps a 2k loop at 9am. More work is planned later this morning. Use caution on the trail - there are a few ice patches and the edge of the trail is very hard, with some ski grooves and in places foot tracks.

Skating deck on Gold, Silver and Bronze resurfaced. Conditions about as good as it gets: firm trail, good track, few leaves and no bare spots.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Battle Creek was groomed this morning. Doug and I tag teamed the work. New classic tracks were set on the 5K Silver trail. World Cup/Gold trail was freshened up with new tracks set on the A Climbs. Ski Games trail just had the skate lane freshened up. Tracks were not reset since they are very good right now. The JOC ball field was also done with new tracks and refreshed skate lane.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic track was in good shape and no leaves to mess up the kick zone. Down hills were fast and much of the snow was skied off on the steepest bits. Overall a fun morning.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed all trails, Ski Games, but no JOC grooming. Reset most of the classic tracks throughout system. Give the last big downhill a good point and tuck, should be a pretty fun ride!
Note: Thursday, Jan 30th, there is a large HS Conference Meet from 9:00a to 4:00p.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skied some of the best conditions all year this morning on the Gold, Silver, Bronze trails. Skate deck is set just enough to highlight the fresh snow from the last few nights. Get out there and enjoy this mild weather and fast snow!
