Skating lane on Gold, Silver, Bronze and Ski Games trails nicely resurfaced. Lots of skiers out touring and training.

Fantastic day. Was out after John and Dave finished grooming. Hats off to all these guys that are volunteers for Ramsey County. They do a phenomenal job of grooming the trails daily and many times late at night to ready the trails for high school ski meets. Please thank them if you see them out! Skied the Gold and Silver loops multiple times and skate deck was already starting to set up well. Best hills in the metro for Birkie training in my opinion. Skate deck is now perfectly flat. Get out and enjoy!

Skied the Silver Trail this morning. No grooming today but the 1-2" of new snow on the trail skied well. The base under the new snow was firm but not icy. The tracks looked good and when I jumped they were solid.

Refreshed the Silver, Gold, and Ski Games trails tonight. Plenty of snow, very good skating conditions. The track are good, shallow in some places.

Skied every inch of Battle Creek today, just after an East Metro HS meet wrapped up. (Someone left all the course-marker cones behind over 5k of track.) Abundant snow everywhere, conditions fine, and tracks looked mostly good. Ski Games trails were pillow-soft: not to everyone's taste. A few leaves in spots, and there was a bit of a toboggan-chute profile on some of the steepest back downhill turns. But overall, it was a great day and great conditions at Battle Creek!

Skied early afternoon, found the trails to be in very good condition. It's been a number of years since I've been able to ski here, and it's always an eye-opening reminder how technical and so fun these trails are! Some of the best in the Midwest for challenging terrain, yet there are other segments that provide easy, gently rolling experience. It was well groomed today, only the Ski Games ski was just a little softer, but it all skied very nicely. Newer trail markers are excellent.

Just finished grooming this morning. Groomed all trails except Ski games, West of Battle Creek road. Trails are in great shape but snow is a bit soft. Enjoy!

Pretty good striding although a little soft (and already leafy tracks thanks to the wind). There's plenty of snow - I did not see any grass or dirt. I stayed in the woods out of the nasty wind and had an enjoyable ski at dusk. As usual, awesome grooming - a big thanks to the dedicated BC grooming crew.
